A People Company that Does Great Engineering
Who we are
Lewis & Smith Engineering, LLC was founded by Tucson locals Travis Lewis and Luke Smith to deliver a more modern, responsive, and practical approach to site development. Our work is built around helping clients clearly understand site constraints, reduce uncertainty early, and move projects forward with confidence.
We combine civil engineering expertise with advanced data collection, drone photogrammetry, point cloud workflows, and Python-driven analysis to produce clear, defensible deliverables for development planning, drainage and grading, flood modeling, and redevelopment strategy.
What we do
Our core services focus on the technical questions that most often affect buildability, permitting, and redevelopment:
-
Civil engineering
-
Hydrology
-
FEMA mapping services, including LOMA, CLOMA, and LOMR support
-
Drainage reports and drainage statements
-
Scour analysis
-
Brownfield redevelopment and large scale development support
We do not believe in generic engineering. We believe in focused technical support that helps clients understand what a site condition means, what risks need to be addressed, and what the next practical step should be.
What makes us different
What sets LSE apart is our ability to combine technical rigor with visual clarity and practical execution. We use modern tools and engineering workflows to help clients get better information earlier, reduce surprises, and make more informed project decisions.
Our approach is guided by three core values:
-
Integrity: We stand behind our work and our conclusions.
-
Accountability: We take ownership of the quality, clarity, and usefulness of what we deliver.
-
Trust: We build long-term relationships by being reliable, responsive, and honest.
How we work
We approach projects by first identifying the real decision that needs to be made. From there, we use the right level of engineering analysis, mapping, and technical documentation to support that decision clearly and efficiently.
The result is faster understanding, fewer surprises, and more buildable solutions.
